SELF-PACED. START ANYTIME!

If you're a medical or skincare professional looking for in-depth training on microneedling, you are in the right place!
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a popular minimally invasive aesthetic treatment used to improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, uneven skin tone, and other skin concerns. It works by creating controlled micro-injuries that support the skin’s natural repair process, which is exactly why understanding the science behind the treatment is so important.
This course was created to help you understand not just how to perform the treatment, but what is happening in the skin and how each decision affects the outcome.
Who This Course Is For
This course was created for medical and skincare professionals who want a more in-depth, science-backed understanding of microneedling than a basic technique-only training can provide.
This training is designed for licensed aesthetic professionals, including aesthetic nurses, registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), physicians (MDs/DOs), dentists (DDS/DMD), estheticians, and other skincare or medical professionals who are legally permitted to perform microneedling within their scope of practice.
Ideal for beginners with no experience, as well as
a refresher course for those with some prior knowledge.
What Makes This Course Different
As an Aesthetic Registered Nurse, I created this course to include the kind of information I wish I had learned at the beginning of my own career, along with the deeper understanding that usually takes years of experience, research, and trial-and-error to figure out on your own.
That is why this course goes beyond basic technique-only training. A lot of microneedling training focuses on the basic steps of the treatment, but not always the deeper “why” behind what you’re doing.
This course helps bridge that gap with up-to-date, science-backed education on skin response, wound healing, technique, safety, client selection, and current microneedling research.
You’ll also learn the reasoning behind common microneedling myths, so you can better understand what is supported by the science and what may be outdated or misunderstood.
My goal is for you to leave this course with the knowledge, skill, and confidence to approach microneedling more safely, make better clinical decisions, and support the best possible results for your clients.
Microneedling in Your
Aesthetic Business
Microneedling is a popular aesthetic treatment used to improve the appearance of acne scars, other types of scars, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, uneven tone, and certain types of hair thinning.
When performed correctly and within your legal scope of practice, microneedling can be a valuable treatment to offer because it is extremely versatile, has relatively low consumable costs, and can fit into many different treatment plans, depending on the client’s skin concerns and goals.
Safety & Skin Tone Considerations
Proper microneedling education is extremely important because every step is crucial for client safety and treatment outcomes, from client selection and contraindication screening to sanitation, technique, depth selection, pre-treatment care, post-treatment care, and complication prevention.
One reason microneedling is so popular is because it can be used on a wide range of skin tones when performed correctly. However, proper treatment planning, technique, device selection, needle depth, and post-treatment care are especially important for clients with darker skin tones, higher Fitzpatrick skin types, or skin that is prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Brand-Neutral Training & Device Resources
Brand-Neutral Microneedling Education
This is a brand-neutral microneedling course, which means your education is not limited to one microneedling pen, product line, or company.
Instead, the focus is on giving you the foundational knowledge you need so you can make more informed decisions about the devices, safe glide products, post-treatment products, and treatment supplies that make the most sense for your license, treatment setting, scope of practice, and clientele.
Even though the course is brand-neutral, I still provide several device and product resources inside the course to help you research your options and choose what is best for your practice.
Microneedling Device & Product Resources
As part of the course, you’ll receive downloadable resources to help you research microneedling pens, treatment products, post-treatment kits, numbing options, and other supplies used in professional microneedling treatments.
These resources include lists of:
- FDA-cleared microneedling devices
- Health Canada-approved microneedling pens
- Esthetician microneedling pens
- Microneedling-safe glide products
- Post-treatment kits
- Numbing cream companies
- Companies who provide PRP/PRF kits
- Ingredients to use or avoid before, during, and after treatment
Choosing Tools Safely and Within Your Scope
Because device approvals, regulations, product ingredients, and licensing requirements can change, this course teaches you how to think through product and device selection more carefully instead of relying on one brand’s protocol.
Before purchasing or using any microneedling device, product, or topical ingredient, you should verify that it is appropriate for your license, scope of practice, treatment setting, state or provincial regulations, employer policies, medical director requirements, and insurance requirements.
The goal is not to tell you that there is only one “right” pen or product line.
It is to help you understand what to look for, what questions to ask, and how to make safer, more informed decisions for your clients.

With so many courses on microneedling to choose from, this is the one I chose because of the reviews. I have been doing microneedling for a couple of years in my practice and wanted a refresher on the certification. She is extremely thorough and clear throughout the course on the biology of the skin as well as technique of the treatment. The skin care industry is constantly changing and I appreciate that she updated information that has changed since the original filming of this course. There is a ton of information to grasp but the way in which she presents it is easy to understand. I appreciate that I will have access to this course forever so that I can refer back to it if I need to. Thank you for your hard work in offering this to me as well as other professionals in my industry!
I have taken MANY classes both in person and online and this is, by far, is one of the BEST classes I have ever taken. The class is organized, thorough, and perfectly executed. On top of that, we get lots of downloadable material that we can use as a reference when needed. I cannot stress how impressed I am with this class and the instructor. You nailed it over and over again! I feel truly prepared and confident in providing an exceptional service of professional microneedling for my clients with their safety as a top priority. Thank you Jen!
I was initially drawn to taking this course because of its comprehensive approach to microneedling. What stood out to me the most was how deeply the instructor went into the science behind the practice, rather than just provided step-by-step instructions. It was evident that she had put a tremendous amount of effort into creating the course content, and her passion for the subject shone through in every lesson. To say that the course exceeded my expectations would be an understatement! While I anticipated a high-quality learning experience, I was pleasantly surprise by the wealth of new information I gained! The instructor’s energy and expertise were infectious, making each session engaging and informative. Thanks to Jen, my confidence in microneedling has soared! Not only do I feel more capable of providing top-notch services to my clients, but I also have a deeper understanding of the science behind the practice. I have already begun recommending the course to others who are interested in mastering microneedling techniques! I am looking forward to taking additional courses offered by Jen! Without a doubt, I will be a loyal student, eager to absorb every bit of knowledge she has to offer. Thank you for an incredible learning journey!!!
Great content. Advanced training like this is hard to come by!
Incredible so much I learned so much in this course!

Instead, you’ll receive downloadable resources to help you research microneedling pens, treatment products, post-treatment kits, numbing options, glide products, PRP/PRF kit companies, and ingredients to use or avoid before, during, and after treatment.
Because device approvals, product ingredients, licensing rules, and treatment regulations can change, this course teaches you how to think through product and device selection more carefully instead of relying on one brand’s protocol.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion that you can include on your resume, add to your professional portfolio, or showcase to your clients and display in your practice.

Does this course certify me to perform microneedling?
No. This course provides a Certificate of Completion, but it does not certify, license, or legally authorize you to perform microneedling.
Microneedling requirements vary by state, license type, treatment setting, employer, supervising provider, medical director, and insurance carrier. Before offering microneedling professionally, you are responsible for confirming that the treatment is allowed under your applicable laws, scope of practice, workplace policies, supervision requirements, and insurance coverage.
Should I verify my state’s microneedling scope of practice before enrolling?
Yes. Before enrolling, you should verify your state or jurisdiction’s microneedling rules, scope of practice, licensing requirements, employer policies, supervising-provider or medical director requirements, and insurance requirements to confirm whether this course aligns with your professional goals and whether you are allowed to perform microneedling in your practice setting.
Microneedling rules can vary widely depending on your location, license type, treatment setting, device, treatment depth, and whether the procedure must be performed by, delegated by, or supervised by a licensed medical professional. This course provides education and a Certificate of Completion, but it does not replace state licensing requirements or authorize you to perform microneedling outside your legal scope of practice.
Because these requirements vary, it is your responsibility to confirm this information before purchasing. Refunds are not available if you later determine that microneedling is not allowed within your scope of practice, employer requirements, supervising-provider requirements, insurance requirements, or state/jurisdiction regulations.
What qualifications or supervision do I need to perform microneedling?
The qualifications or supervision required to perform microneedling depend on your state or jurisdiction, license type, treatment setting, device, treatment depth, and whether microneedling must be performed by, delegated by, or supervised by a licensed medical professional.
In some states, microneedling may be limited to medical professionals. In others, estheticians or other trained professionals may be allowed to perform microneedling under certain conditions, such as physician delegation, medical director oversight, employer protocols, or specific depth/device limitations.
Because these rules vary widely, you should verify the requirements with your state board, employer, supervising provider or medical director, and insurance carrier before performing microneedling professionally. This course provides education and a Certificate of Completion, but it does not replace licensing, delegation, supervision, or scope-of-practice requirements.
Can estheticians legally perform microneedling?
It depends. Estheticians can only perform microneedling if it is allowed under their state laws, license type, scope of practice, treatment setting, and any required supervision or delegation rules.
Microneedling rules vary widely by state. In some states, microneedling may be outside an esthetician’s scope of practice. In others, estheticians may be allowed to perform microneedling under specific conditions, such as certain treatment depths, employer protocols, physician delegation, medical director oversight, or other supervision requirements.
Before performing microneedling professionally, estheticians should verify the rules with their state board, employer, supervising provider or medical director, and insurance carrier. This course provides education and a Certificate of Completion, but it does not authorize estheticians to perform microneedling outside their legal scope of practice.
Does this course count toward CE credits or state microneedling training requirements?
No. This microneedling course is not currently approved for CE credits and should not be assumed to satisfy any state microneedling training requirement.
Some states, employers, medical directors, or insurance carriers may have their own training, documentation, supervision, or continuing education requirements for microneedling. Before enrolling, you should verify whether this course meets any requirements that apply to your license, state or jurisdiction, treatment setting, employer, supervising provider, medical director, or insurance carrier.
This course provides education and a Certificate of Completion, but it does not replace CE requirements, state-mandated training, licensing requirements, delegation requirements, or scope-of-practice rules.
